License

Overview

The License dialog shows your current license status and provides purchase and upgrade options. Open it from Help > License....

License Options

The dialog presents three purchase options:

• Monthly -- A recurring monthly subscription.
• Annual -- A recurring annual subscription.
• Forever -- A one-time purchase that never expires.

Each button displays its price as retrieved from the Microsoft Store (Windows) or App Store (macOS). If prices cannot be loaded (for example, when offline), the buttons show a placeholder.

Clicking a purchase button launches the store purchase flow. When the purchase completes, the dialog updates to show your active license.

Upgrading

If you already hold a license, the dialog shows which tier is active. You can upgrade or switch tiers:

• Monthly held -- The Monthly button is disabled. You can switch to Annual or upgrade to Forever.
• Annual held -- The Annual button is disabled. You can switch to Monthly or upgrade to Forever.
• Forever held -- All purchase buttons are disabled. There is nothing further to purchase.

Offline Behavior

License verification normally requires a connection to the store. If the store is unreachable, Principal Plan uses the file's saved license and trial state to decide access.

Files previously saved while licensed continue to open with full access. Files that are still within their trial period continue to open with trial access. If the file is not licensed and the trial has expired, the file is closed and a new file is created until the license can be verified or a license is purchased.
