Principal Plan is a product of Thomsens.net LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). This privacy policy describes how we collect and use information on the pplan.com website and in the Principal Plan application. It supplements our company-wide privacy policy, which governs general practices across all Thomsens.net LLC properties.

2. Information We Collect
On this website (pplan.com):
The only data we collect on this website is analytics data, and only after you accept on our cookie banner. This site has no sign-up, no contact form, and no account system. If you email us using a link on the site, we receive whatever information you choose to include in that email.
Analytics data is collected through Google Analytics and may include:
- Technical Data: IP address (used to derive a coarse region, not stored), browser type and version, operating system, and device information
- Usage Data: pages visited, time on page, referring site, and similar interaction data

In the Principal Plan application:
Principal Plan is a desktop application that runs locally on your computer. Your financial data — accounts, transactions, envelopes, and budgets — is stored on your own machine. We do not operate cloud storage or server-side processing for your financial data. Your information stays on your computer unless you independently choose to back it up elsewhere.
Principal Plan offers optional product registration, which collects your name and email address so we can communicate with you about updates, support, and your license. This information is stored on secured servers and is never sold to other entities. Registration is voluntary — the application functions without it.
Principal Plan also offers an optional anonymous usage data program. If you opt in, the application sends anonymous usage statistics — such as feature usage and general interaction patterns — to help us improve the product. This data does not include any of your financial information — such as accounts, envelopes, transactions, or balances — and is not linked to your product registration or any personally identifiable information. Participation is voluntary and can be changed at any time.
Both product registration and anonymous usage reporting can be managed from the Help > Registration menu in the application.
All purchases and subscriptions are handled through the Microsoft Store or the Apple App Store. We do not process payments or store payment card information. Those platforms handle billing according to their own privacy policies.
We do not sell any data collected through this website or the Principal Plan application to other entities.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use information in the following ways:
- To respond to your inquiries
- To measure site usage and improve performance
- To communicate with registered users about updates and support
- To notify you about changes to our service
When you accept cookies on our banner, we enable analytics. If you decline, analytics remains off. We do not enable personalized advertising or remarketing.
